Feeling bloated is not SEXY.

Gut health is so important and can affect or emotional, physical and mental health. (The three elements, for us that define self-care).

Discussing the gut is not a sexy topic and a lot of us tend to ignore our symptoms because it can be embarrassing to discuss what you are truly feeling. 

Many of us have gut issues without realizing, and the daily activities and stresses can cause imbalances in our body. Bacteria over growth, parasites, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), skin conditions, mental problems etc.


For me, I have been feeling bloated, and as if I am 5 months pregnant-not ideal. I have been struggling with this for the past 6 months and it has at times made me feel quite depressed.

Having a hectic work schedule and the persistent and hopeful thought that this feeling would eventually pass ultimately delayed me to finally seeking help.

As we are all are guilty of, I spent a couple of hours here or there researching what was wrong on google… Irritable Bowel Syndrome SIBO, Parasites and so on.

The only solution that was directly linked to all these symptoms was to make sure that your gut had healthy bacteria, as good gut bacteria improves digestion, supports the immune system and produces the vitamins your body needs. 

Essentially, good health is directly influenced by how balanced the bacteria are in your gut.  Therefore, I desperately needed to find a good probiotic, as probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your health, especially your digestive system.


Symprove 12 Week Challenge

There are a lot of probiotics on the market; however as I researched further into it, I found that many leading brands do not survive once digested through the stomach. Only one probiotic that seemed to survive and flourish in the human GI track was Symprove.

Symprove contains 4 unique strains, and is a water-based formula that has been scientifically proven to work on symptoms of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Most probiotics do not survive the stomach, however, Symprove reaches the targets area of the gut where it multiplies. This is not a fad product but has been independently researched by King’s College and University College London. It is exactly what it states on the packaging.

I also consulted with a reputable Gastroenterologist to see if this was worth trying, and with delight, she confirmed it was a fantastic choice, as she puts a lot of her patients on the 12-week course.

Symprove recommends that you do a 12-week programme to really give your gut a chance it needs to improve. I am now embarking on the 12-week challenge and just about to start my 4th week. So what have I felt? Any changes? Yes.

For the first two weeks, I did not really feel much change. I was still bloated, not feeling fantastic. However, during my third week, my tummy appeared less bloated, my bowels became more regular. I actually felt healthier and stronger, almost as if my body was returning to me! Within this week, I had the motivation to go back to the gym and, wear something tight around my abdomen, which is something I have not done in months!


Health is a commitment and so is Symprove. By taking the small dosage every day, you are providing your body with good bacteria that will sustain a healthy gut.

I am excited to see and feel the changes that this probiotic is doing for me. I will check in next month to give you an update.
